The Account Manager builds and strengthens customer relationships by securing leasing and sales opportunities for semi-trailers and equipment. You serve as the lead point of contact for customer accounts, drive new business, and ensure ongoing client satisfaction. Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales and/or account management experience (5+ years preferred).
  • 2+ years of commercial truck and trailer leasing experience
  • Degree or certificate in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Valid driver's license for travel to customer locations.
  • Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Contact Management Systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with existing customers while finding new ones.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Understanding of equipment, trucks, and consumer behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for all customer account management matters
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Conduct outbound marketing efforts including cold calling, mass mailing, and prospecting
  • Attend industry trade shows to generate leads
  • Travel to meet with existing and potential customers face-to-face
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, accounts, and sales activity
  • Strategically negotiate to secure new and renewal sales
  • Communicate ongoing initiatives and key account metrics to management
  • Assist customers in establishing commercial credit accounts
  • Secure long-term leasing agreements and facilitate equipment sales
  • Meet or exceed established sales goals
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and industry expertise
  • Manage accounts aging within 30 of payment terms
  • Monitor and respond to industry trends
