About The Position

The Account Manager will provide quality service (sales when applicable) to all commercial lines Dodge Partners clients.  The Account Manager will perform the essential duties of this position, which include assisting the producer(s) in managing a book of business, including new and renewal marketing and placement.  The Account Manager will provide direction to the CL-Assistant and CL-Marketer assigned to the team, to service or market, each account collaboratively, efficiently and timely.  The Account Manager will maintain the highest degree of rapport between producer(s), client, carriers and agency personnel.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1 year of insurance experience – knowledge of commercial lines coverage and carriers.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word; Internet; Highly organized, accuracy with data and numbers; deadline sensitive.
  • Leadership skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a group or independently.
  • Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
  • Problem solving skills a must.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Nebraska Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred. If hired, must obtain. Additional designations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates company core values.
  • Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
  • Interacts well with others.
  • Process change requests accurately and promptly.
  • Follow-up on all requests submitted to carriers for completion and accuracy.
  • Keep producers informed of important account activities.
  • Monitor work and inform management when help is needed.
  • Quote new commercial lines business for producers using agency resources, technology and carriers.
  • Remarket existing business based on service team requests or to meet client expectations.
  • Maintain good working relationship and process with service team to obtain quality quotes/remarkets.
  • Write all types of commercial lines business and stay up to date with carriers and industry.
  • Process all work timely and according to expectations; maintaining good follow-up with carriers & underwriters.
  • Provide comprehensive attention to detail and thorough documentation to support E&O standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation/task management in Worksmart customer/prospect file.
  • Negotiate with carrier underwriters and company personnel in a timely and professional manner.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
