About The Position

Podean is the leading global marketplace marketing agency. We work with progressive brands across the globe to unlock potential on Amazon, Target, Walmart, and other marketplaces. Our services span eCommerce strategy, content creation and optimization, media management, retail operations, data and analytics, consulting, and social commerce. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to partner with tier-one clients and the broader Podean team to develop and execute Amazon and marketplace strategies and unlock incremental brand growth. Client servicing, strategy, program delivery, project management, and analysis will all be key functions in this role with the expectation that the account manager is well-versed in all aspects of eCommerce strategy including media, creative, and retail solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in digital media, eCommerce, or marketing.
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, including advertising, retail, and expert-level knowledge of Amazon’s tools, mechanisms, and programs.
  • Proven leadership skills with a high sense of ownership and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Highly responsive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Commercially savvy with a thorough understanding of marketers’ challenges.
  • Growth mindset with integrity and accountability.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other essential tools.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sophisticated tier 1 clients, including C-level contacts, to drive marketplace strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Develop annual brand strategies, marketing and promotional planning, supply chain optimization, Amazon negotiations, resolving client escalations, and overseeing general Amazon business management and operations.
  • Build client trust by educating them on how to be successful in all aspects of Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Create a roadmap for new work streams and manage various projects with internal teams to proactively develop the account.
  • Develop best practices for successful marketing on Amazon and other marketplaces, providing onboarding and training sessions when needed.
  • Support new business opportunities and identify opportunities to upsell existing clients.
  • Contribute to agency thought leadership and agency-wide trainings.
  • Work closely with agency team leads on process improvements, SOPs and proactive initiatives.
  • Understand client needs and consult with them from a holistic perspective.
  • Monitor team progress on completion of tasks and communicate this with the client.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, retail, media, and creative teams to drive revenue and increase client satisfaction.
  • Own all client meetings, presentations, and documents.
  • Lead communications and manage client expectations and priorities.
  • Leverage Amazon’s data and understanding of Podean’s customers to guide clients via business reviews and frequent client sessions.
  • Help clients problem-solve challenges and issues they encounter.
  • Stay up to date on all things Amazon and communicate updates, changes, and new opportunities with clients.
  • Partner with clients to innovate both on and off Amazon.
