About The Position

The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for day-to-day client service needs within an assigned book of business. Working closely with a Producer or Account Executive, this role supports service delivery, placement, and business development efforts. Success in the position requires consistent use of internal systems, proactive communication with clients via phone and email, and strict adherence to corporate standards, including accurate data management within the system of record. As a core member of the client team, the Account Manager also collaborates with and provides direction to third-party vendors to ensure seamless account management. This role is hybrid and will require 3-4 days in our Boston, MA, Guilford, CT or Glastonbury, CT office.

Requirements

  • 2+ Years of experience in a Property & Casualty brokerage environment.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty business.
  • Ability to follow process and procedures guidance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to display tact and poise under pressure when working through issues.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Hold, or willing to obtain, Insurance licenses as required by the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Producers/Account Executives on renewal strategy, including market selection, claims review, and exposure gathering.
  • Manage the renewal process by preparing submissions, proposals, and binding documents.
  • Draft exposure details, loss exhibits, and proposals; request policy documents or loss runs directly from carriers.
  • Serve as the main contact for client questions, changes, and service needs.
  • Coordinate certificates, invoices, policy checks, and carrier requests with Associates or vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records in the system of record and manage audits, reports, and contract reviews.
  • Support clients with claims by guiding reporting and assisting with complex or ongoing cases.
  • Set up policies for billing, request invoices, and resolve receivable or accounting discrepancies.
  • Build strong carrier and wholesaler relationships to secure competitive terms and support market initiatives.
  • Contribute to corporate initiatives, retention goals, and new business opportunities.
  • Follow compliance procedures, support corrective actions, and maintain thorough documentation.
