About the position

This is a full-time, direct placement role at GHC Mechanical. GHC Mechanical is a Chicago-based commercial and industrial mechanical contractor that specializes in HVAC Design & Installation, Digital Controls, and Preventative Maintenance Solutions. We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to help us retain and grow our quickly expanding customer base! Your mission will be to deliver a breathtaking experience, and create fanatical followers who couldn’t imagine doing business with anyone else. This position is essential in achieving our goal and is the primary point-of-contact to our clients. Once a sales rep has closed the business, the Account Manager is responsible for developing, nurturing, and growing relationships with a full portfolio of existing clients, responsible for maintaining client satisfaction, contract renewals, client retention, issue resolution, and cross-functional team communication and collaboration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement. They will have a high level of integrity and will be willing to learn and modify their approach to meet the needs of our clients. They will take ownership in results and possess a positive outlook, mindset, attitude, initiative, high stress tolerance, and a drive to succeed…GRIT!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture a portfolio of customers to achieve long-term success
  • Expand existing relationships through strategic customer interactions
  • Manage all internal communication with our internal team to successfully fulfill requests
  • Cross-team communication and collaboration for new customer onboarding
  • Daily update and accuracy of interactions and information within our CRM/ERP
  • Meet or exceed goals and objectives
  • Resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Industry Experience in HVAC/Plumbing (preferred)
  • 3+ years of documented success serving in a customer, account management, or supportive role
  • Knowledgeable in upselling, cross-selling and other sales strategies
  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent active listening, phone skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Organization and task management skills
  • Industry knowledge and expertise utilizing in latest sales technologies and software
  • High Level of Integrity
