As an Account Manager at Altron Automation, you will play a crucial role in driving technical sales and marketing functions that support both service and new tool sales. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless communication between various departments while delivering profitable service and tool sales. This position requires a proactive approach to meet quarterly sales goals, maintain customer relations, and generate customer requests for quotes (RFQs) based on their specific needs and specifications. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly sales projections and annual marketing presentations to the Sales Manager, targeting profitable tooling programs, and participating in the release of new jobs or engineering changes to the job release team. In this role, you will negotiate customer terms, program pricing, and address delivery and customer issues in favor of Altron. Timely submission of customer purchase orders for program releases is essential, as is a thorough understanding of customer needs and tooling requests. You will need to be well-versed in Altron's tooling and manufacturing processes and represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Additionally, you will deliver, review, and respond to customer quotation inquiries, follow up on quotations or programs accepted or rejected by customers, and recover costs for changes in scope, engineering changes, and cost overruns. The position may require travel to customer facilities (5-10%) to maintain and enhance customer relations, as well as participation in design reviews and job close-out meetings. You will also be expected to engage in activities that promote continuous improvement and contribute to a safe working environment.
