About The Position

The Account Manager is the primary contact for the Workers' Compensation client base, oversees claims and rate activity, helps employers develop a customized plan of action, advises employers on all alternative rating programs and administers both virtual and on-site client visits, typically within the State of Ohio. Requirements

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Outgoing personality, self-motivated and self-disciplined
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to type 40 WPM
  • Proficient with 10 key
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Organized, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment individually or as a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Effectively work with others to build consensus and rapport
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 2 years of claims management experience

Responsibilities

  • Solid knowledge of Workers' Compensation Claims and Rate Management including all alternative rating programs offered by the Ohio BWC
  • Able to meet deadlines, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate effective business communication skills
  • Maintaining system notes and diaries
  • Assistance with client retention and enrollment process
