About The Position

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting an Account Manager for our Commercial Oil & Gas portfolio. As a member of the NV5 Geospatial Business Development Team, you will play a key role in driving growth by developing and securing business with Commercial and Private clients in the Oil & Gas sector. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead efforts to design and promote impactful geospatial solutions that strengthen our Oil & Gas offerings. As part of the account team, you will be responsible for creating and executing strategic plans that align with NV5's Commercial Business Development goals. Leveraging your industry expertise and professional network, you will engage with existing clients and cultivate new relationships to generate and capture new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's in a geospatial field (e.g., remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, etc.), business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of remote sensing data acquisition technologies, applications development, integrated geospatial solutions, and how they relate to oil and gas clients
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, prospecting, proposing, and/or negotiating complex deal structures and/or contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with strong partnerships and advocacy with clients
  • Demonstrated understanding and mitigation of competitive threats
  • Highly motivated team player with a mature, positive attitude and passion to meet the challenges and opportunities of a business
  • Must pass background check including drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive Oil and Gas sector relationships
  • Experience working with aerial/satellite remotely sensed data (e.g., optical, hyperspectral, thermal, radar imagery; topographic and/or bathymetric LiDAR; multibeam/single beam/side-scan sonar; etc.)
  • General knowledge of spatial analysis and problem solving
  • Results oriented; ability to write and craft smart, attainable, realistic, time-driven goals with clear lead indicators
  • 3+ years of sales experience providing geospatial data or technology solutions to clients

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting Commercial/Private clients within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in geospatial solutions specific to Oil & Gas markets, both internally and externally
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach, proposal development, and client engagement
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure continued satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Leverage and lead a Capture Team consisting of pre-sales engineering, estimating, proposals, technical, and other cross-company resources to define and execute an account strategy
  • Represent NV5 at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote geospatial capabilities and expand brand presence
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform service innovation and competitive positioning
  • Track sales activity, pipeline development, and performance metrics to support reporting and forecasting efforts
