The Account Manager for the Networking & Communications Vertical at Avnet is a field sales executive responsible for driving revenue and margin growth within assigned accounts. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, developing strategic relationships, and aligning business goals to create effective sales solutions. The Account Manager will engage in joint planning with customers, conduct regular business reviews, and manage a pipeline of opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer interactions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop strong, strategic relationships with customers to identify their business goals and deliver appropriate sales solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in critical customer planning and engagement.
  • Perform customer analysis to leverage marketing programs for growth in customer solutions capability.
  • Engage customers in joint planning to secure commitment for comprehensive investment strategies.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with assigned accounts to track progress toward revenue and growth goals.
  • Maintain and monitor pipeline and metrics for assigned customers, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Align solutions with customer needs to maximize profitable growth and expansion.
  • Prioritize customers and opportunities with the greatest potential for success.
  • Manage profitability by minimizing profit leaks and maximizing gross profit.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales, preferably in networking and communications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, and market needs of assigned accounts.
  • Expertise in sales processes and account management, with a focus on strategic accounts.
  • Experience in data center/cloud environments is preferred.
