About The Position

Image Engineering was founded as a company that pushes boundaries, develops new ideas through design and fabrication, and is a leader in the visual display and special effects industry. We are comprised of a team of artists, engineers, event producers, fabricators, and creative thinkers. We have worked all over the United States, completing thousands of projects in the field of creative multimedia shows for clients such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, Tiësto, Lady Gaga, American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and multiple professional sports franchises in the NFL, NBA, and NHL. We have also created permanent and temporary interactive installations for world-class venues, including the Staples Center, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Smithsonian Institution, and Walt Disney World. The Account Manager for Live Production and Sports is responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, managing projects from concept to contract, and ensuring exceptional delivery of live events that meet our clients’ vision. This position acts as both a creative strategist and initial project lead, with a focus on delivering exceptional custom service from start to finish. This role demands strategic client engagement, project oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive successful execution from concept to contract. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance creative vision with operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, ideally within live events, sports production, concert touring, or related entertainment fields.
  • Proven success in acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and consult on end-to-end project execution in fast-paced, event-driven environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, and project management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently for client meetings, event site visits, and industry networking opportunities.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in touring production, special effects, live sports events, or performance stage production.
  • Familiarity with staging technologies, lasers, pyrotechnics, or other live event equipment, including recommendations for gear investments.
  • Experience contributing to corporate social media strategies and event-based marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture new and existing relationships with live production and sports clients, serving as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout project lifecycles.
  • Assist in the management of the company CRM and conduct initial discovery calls to assess client needs and event requirements.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with leadership to secure new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and site visits to fully understand event objectives and design intent, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Schedule and lead client meetings, internal planning sessions, and production calls.
  • Collaborate with Production and Design teams at every stage to define project scope, logistics, timelines, required resources (including equipment and crew), and financial expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure internal teams deliver budgets and creative designs on time based on client needs and timelines.
  • Present creative concepts, designs, and budgets to clients for approval.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Advocate for clients internally, ensuring their vision and expectations for quality, safety, and delivery are clearly communicated and met.
  • Provide regular project updates, resolve issues, and gather feedback to improve processes and client satisfaction.
  • Attend and supervise live events as necessary to ensure quality delivery, strengthen client relationships, and confirm projects are delivered to Image Engineering standards.
  • Support company branding initiatives by contributing to social media content strategies and representing the company at industry events and on-site occasions.
