Since 1975, the firm has grown to serve 18,000+ families and 2,500+ businesses across Eastern North Carolina, with strong carrier partnerships and a steadily expanding commercial lines book. 50+ carrier relationships 27,000+ total policyholders 65% personal lines / 35% commercial lines Service area spans from Raleigh to the NC coast As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and servicing a diverse book of business while building strong client and carrier relationships.

Requirements

  • Active North Carolina Property & Casualty License (Commercial Lines required)
  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial lines account management experience
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a fully digital environment
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service commercial lines accounts for business clients
  • Handle inbound client inquiries related to premiums, coverage, policy changes, and renewals
  • Process certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, and policy updates
  • Support producers during renewals (focus is on service vs. new business sales)
  • Assist with writing renewals and occasional new business
  • Maintain relationships with carrier underwriters
  • Manage policy downloads and updates through the agency management system
  • Work across a variety of coverages including: Business Auto, General Liability (CGL), Commercial Property / BOP, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella & Professional Liability, Flood, Tools & Equipment
  • Utilize Applied Systems (Epic or TAM preferred) and carrier portals for policy management and downloads
  • Operate within a fully digital, paperless workflow using standard office tools

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (flexible based on experience)
