The Opportunity: Driving better future mobility VS (Vehicle component Solutions) Company ( https://www.lg.com/global/mobility ) of LG Electronics focuses on commercializing environmentally responsible automotive components and core solutions based on LG’s proprietary technologies. A leading provider of core components for global car manufacturers, VS Company is supporting the emerging trend of the vehicle industry. The Account Manager II role will require ownership and understanding of specific customer(s). This position will require work in cross functional teams to close open issues relating to a customer or product. The Account Manager II will be the main point of contact for the customer in not only commercial issues and negotiations but also logistic, packaging, obsolesence & ect issues. Will be a supporting contact for all development, timing and general engineering issues as well working with the Program Manager and Development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive account management
  • Proficiency in OEM supplier portal
  • Self-driven and results oriented with a strong sense of initiative in tackling tasks
  • Quick learner and flexible to adopt to company working culture and processes
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and organizational skills: Ability to understand a customer needs and to probe for answers, and then determine a solution and advocate that solution to the customer
  • Ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders and make sure all deliverables are met
  • Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and to maintain deadlines
  • Strong organizational and MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to Travel (International & Domestic) up to 15%
  • Ability to work early/late hours for business meetings
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing between 10–20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as Electric/Electrical Tier 1 supplier Account Manager
  • Prior experience with customer(s)

Responsibilities

  • Account Management
  • Customer Setup and Requirements to meet their production expectations
  • Understand what is needed from time of sourcing to mass production to ensure on time launch
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Annual cost reduction negotiations
  • Understanding the breakdowns of quotes
  • Submit quotes in customer format & expectations
  • Tooling Requirements & Invoicing
  • ED&T Invoicing & Payment Follow Up
  • Supplier Portal Management
  • Admin Contact / General Terms & Conditions (GT&C) review & Understanding
  • Understand the packaging process and customer requirements (including labeling)
  • Update and maintain a master price file
  • Main point of contact between our customers and HQ
  • Manage engineering changes (timing & cost)
  • Understand customer revenue variances to explain revenue to managment (monthly, quartely, annually)
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Understand Account Receivable process
  • Compile and submit all monthly statements to Customer/Client
  • Track all tooling and ED&T payments
  • Process Approval for all Credit & Debit requests
  • Manage Account Accruals to accurately communicate Revenue
  • Other duties as assigned
