About The Position

This role is eligible for a remote work schedule. Relocation is not available for this role. The purpose of this position is to manage the overall business relationship for accounts in the assigned territory, including the medium size sales volume account. The individual will develop and execute commercial and technical strategies to increase market share, improve profitability, and maximize working capital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, or related with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a sales or commercial environment with $35M in sales and with at least one key strategic account over $10M annually
  • Master's degree in engineering, sales, or related with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or commercial environment with $35M in sales and with at least one key strategic account over $10M annually
  • Demonstrated experience in growing accounts, value-based selling strategies and new business development
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage large, complex accounts
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong technical knowledge in Metallus and customer’s markets and applications
  • Ability to identify and promote value add opportunities
  • Usage and knowledge of D365 tool
  • Ability to adapt to global / diverse customer culture

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, or related with a minimum of 12 years of experience in a sales or commercial environment with $35M in sales and with at least one key strategic account over $10M annually
  • Master's degree in engineering, sales, or related with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a sales or commercial environment with $35M in sales and with at least one key strategic account over $10M annually
  • Knowledge of GD&T and print reading skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overall sales greater than $35M with at least one key strategic account over $10M annually
  • Prepare, recommend, negotiate and execute commercial agreements aligned with business plan objectives
  • Develop strategic account plans which define the tactics and actions needed to support targeted growth
  • Initiate frequent visits and develop high-level/decision-influencing customer contacts to foster key relationships to help promote customer intimacy
  • Identify new accounts, currently not serviced direct, to support applicable growth within assigned territory
  • Prepare and input accurate sales forecasts based on information from customers and knowledge of the market
  • Leverage customer relationship management tool to help drive effective sales management process to support both new opportunities as well as current and competitive issues
  • Identify value-add opportunities, either new product or upstream of currently supplied product, to further differentiate value and service offering from competitors
  • Monitor and address issues associated with past-due A/R, disputed items and customer finished inventory
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
