Job Summary The position will be responsible for supporting commercial and business development efforts of revenue generation, project development, and relationship management in natural gas pipelines. This role will require analytic, energetic, innovative, result-oriented individuals with quick and inquisitive minds. Works toward maximizing revenue on existing assets and developing strategies for growth through knowledge of natural gas commodity markets, contract negotiations, financial analysis, and operations. Must have ability to work within a team-oriented environment in rapidly evolving markets and handle multiple assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, or other technical discipline
  • Six (6) years of related experience (Account Manager I)
  • Nine (9) years of related experience (Account Manager II)
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to apply mathematic formulas and statistical logic to economic analysis
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels inside and outside the company.
  • Experience with creating and delivering presentations
  • Strong analytical, planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Effective in self-management of time with a demonstrated personal commitment to work
  • Able to identify value-creation opportunities and strategies
  • Must live within a commutable distance from the office and work in-person
  • Willing to travel up to 15%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an energy company, consulting firm, trading company, or investment bank focused on natural gas sector
  • Knowledge of all components in deal structure, including revenue valuation, timeline development, risk analysis, competitive landscape
  • Understanding of regulatory environment impacting natural gas pipelines such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in complex contract negotiations with new or existing customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new or existing counterparties
  • Review and evaluate existing contracts to determine profitability or exposures
  • Support broad range of customer types including local distribution companies, power generators, wholesale marketers, traders, gas producers, industrials, and other large natural gas transmission pipelines
  • Interact and coordinate with engineering, operations, gas control, accounting, regulatory, legal, and contracts personnel regarding commercial opportunities
  • Participate in strategy and planning discussions focused on the direction and concentration of the business
  • Research and provide narratives to internal stakeholders about industry news, trends, and market analysis
  • Develop and/or review documentation including but not limited to: Contracts and Agreements Internal and External formal correspondence Budgeting and Revenue Reporting Tariffs
  • May perform other duties as assigned
