Ingersoll Rand is hiring a General Line Account Manager to drive equipment sales and service activity for a specific territory. This role involves quoting, strategizing, prospecting, and developing relationships to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share, and maintain customer loyalty. The position supports a major distributor while also selling directly to customers.

  • Generate Revenue - Responsible for generating sales of equipment, service contracts, and service offerings with direct end users and partners.
  • Develop existing customer base and secure new accounts to expand IR presence in the market.
  • Provide and design compressed air solutions to fulfill industrial customer needs.
  • Keep current with all product knowledge, industry standards, and training needed.
  • Execute strategy for continuous improvement and exceeding customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve all assigned sales targets.
  • Develop People Capabilities - Provide selling skills and product/services training for dealer sales personnel.
  • Partner with services team to understand products and services to satisfy and anticipate customer's needs.
  • Manage Cash - Ensure all orders obtained are error-free with correct customer documentation.
  • Ensure resolution of all customer disputes.
  • Manage all costs associated with selling efforts, including travel and entertainment expenditures.
  • Ensure adherence to safety rules in the field and customer center.
  • Earn Customer loyalty by collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management database including customer interactions, assets, agreements, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Record order follow-up activities and provide feedback on market conditions.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years' of experience in an industrial sales business setting
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Mechanical and electrical expertise required.
  • Tech savvy; knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Proven business and sales acumen.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
