About The Position

The Account Manager position is designed for individuals who are committed to delivering the highest level of customer service. This role involves managing customer inquiries, load solicitations, and service reporting. The Account Manager will also provide leadership and direction to Account Manager Associates to ensure optimal service delivery to customers.

Requirements

• Computer experience necessary, including proficiency in Windows and Excel or similar programs.
• Thorough understanding of Marten's overall marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Record details and direction on all loads booked for the assigned area.
• Act as a substitute in the absence of Account Managers in other regions, ensuring seamless and transparent service to customers.
• Supervise and monitor trailer pools in the respected market.
• Promptly secure loading and/or unloading appointments that optimize asset utilization and service expectations.
• Communicate any problems encountered to the Regional Sales Director.
• Aggressively pursue and expand knowledge of other positions and functions for career development.
• Maintain and monitor the service levels provided to Marten's customers as required by the Sales and Marketing department.
• Perform routine solicitations and follow up with designated accounts through various communication methods.
• Delegate duties and develop Account Manager Associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
