About The Position

Great new Career Opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy! Now Hiring - Account Manager - The Account Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to: Work as a liaison between Partners Pharmacy and nursing facilities, ensuring effective communications and providing consultant services that will assist the facility in achieving regulatory compliance and maximum quality pharmaceutical services. Coordinates routine visits to assigned facilities for the purpose of ongoing communication between pharmacy and facility staff. Provides ongoing in-service education to customer staff nurses at least quarterly. Assists in opening (roll-out process) of new customer facilities and the in-servicing required for new pilot projects where appropriate. Works cooperatively with consultant pharmacists, and on a case by base basis, assists the Pharmacist in reviewing medication room/cart and monitoring emergency drug kits and medication refrigerators. Assists in the Nursing Home's corporate pre-survey team in conjunction with the Nursing Home's regional staff for the purpose of providing professional support to guarantee the facilities meet regulatory compliance. Remains knowledgeable in all state and federal long-term facility rules and regulations involving medication and pharmacy services. Projects a consistent professional customer relations attitude and promotes a positive image. Pursues continuing education in related area via conferences and/or seminars. Assists in marketing and trade shows when needed. Represents Partners Pharmacy at nursing homes regional corporate Administrator/Director of Nursing meetings as requested Attends Partners consultant meetings and management meetings when requested Communicates with all Partners Pharmacy staff to effectively related facility concerns and participate in their resolution.

Requirements

  • License as a RN or LPN
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a long term care or retail pharmacy environment
  • Extensive knowledge of long-term care regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including, leadership, communication and respect
