A day in the life… As the Account Manager Broker/Grocery , you will work with our brokers and directly with grocery customers to champion the iconic Russell Stover brand through appropriate distribution, shelving, promotion and pricing activities. To achieve our goal of aggressively gaining market share, you will have a strong analytical and sales driven mindset. You also will have experience thriving in a fast-growing CPG environment with the ability to be a collaborative, responsive partner with both internal and external customers. This role will report to Team Leader Grocery but support both Broker & Grocery channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in CPG sales, category management or sales analysis
  • Knowledge and experience in support of brokers and grocery retailers

Nice To Haves

  • Account management experience in confection or food/beverage
  • Strong understanding and experience leveraging syndicated IRI data
  • Effective story building and public speaking for internal/ external presentations.
  • Experience with promotional planning/deduction management systems or proven experience with managing financials related to promotional product spending
  • Ability to create financial recommendations utilizing basic ROI analysis
  • High level of follow-up, availability, and responsiveness to internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability in public speaking and effective customer presentations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with channel and/or customers are highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with retail buyers and teams, specifically with Ahold, Delhaize and other grocery retailers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for broker partners, ensuring they have the tools, materials, and information needed to execute effectively.
  • Track broker requests, deliverables, and progress, ensuring alignment with sales priorities and timelines.
  • Achieve net sales growth through accurate performance analysis, forecasting and planning
  • Upload, organize, and maintain sales documents, presentations, and product information across internal systems and customer portals.
  • Manage item setup forms, price lists, promotional forms, and other sales documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage budgets and funds to achieve optimal ROI
  • Ensure consistent forecast accuracy on a monthly and annual basis
  • Develop and execute ongoing distribution objectives for your assigned accounts
  • Develop and execute new item presentations to meet current and future objectives
  • Plan and implement promotional plans
  • Budget and manage trade funds
  • Conduct category management and business analysis using IRI platforms
  • Manage the weekly and seasonal business reviews using POS and category data
  • Act as the primary point of contact for broker partners, ensuring they have the tools, materials, and information needed to execute effectively.
