About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, the Account Management Specialist plays a crucial role in the accurate processing, documentation, and receipting of complex charitable gifts that resource global Bible translation. This position ensures gifts are administered according to organizational policies, donor intent, and regulatory requirements, supporting strong stewardship and financial accountability. The role manages various gift types including Charitable Gift Annuities, Missionary Partnership Plans (MPPs), Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), Charitable Trusts, Endowments, bequests, real estate, and other non-cash contributions like securities, gifts-in-kind, and mineral rights. The specialist fosters effective communication among departments, onsite and remote staff, and donors, partnering with Finance leadership to champion accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in financial processes, reporting, and communication, while handling financial data with professionalism and discretion. The Finance team at Wycliffe USA is vital for advancing Bible translation by wisely stewarding resources and supporting the global workforce. It encompasses Corporate Accounting, Gift Processing, Member Finance, Foundation, and Payroll, all contributing to the mission through trusted financial services. The team adopts a relational approach, grounded in integrity and diligence, focusing on operational excellence and continuous growth to equip the organization to serve the global Church faithfully and sustainably.

  • Associate Degree and 3 years of finance, accounting, and/or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Establish and maintain a team of prayer partners who will support you in your season of ministry at Wycliffe (minimum 3-5 partners).

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Live-out - conviction of “work flows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed.
  • Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
  • Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff.
  • Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities, tactical teams/departmental initiatives.
  • Represent the Finance team in meetings, projects, workshops, and partnership efforts as assigned.
  • Assist with real estate and mineral rights gifts, including data entry into the CRM database, acknowledging gift-in-kind to donors, and coordinating with Finance to ensure IRS forms are filled as needed.
  • Assist with bequests, gifts-in-kind, and donor-advised funds.
  • Create the missionary partnership plans and the MPP Monthly Distribution Spreadsheets.
  • Act as the secondary contact for Wycliffe Foundation regarding the processing of the charitable gift annuity, and all 1099R and 1099INT.
  • Monitor the Foundation email and Foundation phone line.
  • Handle sensitive, confidential, and personal information from constituents in a fast and accurate manner.
  • Meet regularly with the manager to provide status updates.
  • Update the manager on donor concerns and trends in donation complaints as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Planned Gift Manager of Wycliffe Foundation Finance.
