About The Position

As an Account Executive at Zone & Co, you’ll play a critical role in driving our growth by acquiring net new clients from a defined set of prospects. This is more than a quota-carrying role—it requires a proactive, consultative approach to uncover opportunities within the fintech landscape and deliver tailored solutions that solve complex business problems. You’ll manage full-cycle sales with high-value clients, build lasting partnerships, and consistently exceed ARR goals while collaborating across teams to fuel company-wide success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience consistently exceeding $1M+ ARR quotas in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
  • Proven success generating net new pipeline and closing deals in the upper/mid-market segment.
  • Experience selling financial technology solutions (billing, reporting, payroll, AP automation, procure-to-pay, or order-to-cash) preferred.
  • Strong track record selling into the Office of the CFO and Finance C-Suite.
  • Mastery of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) and strategic solution selling.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS products and how to align them to multi-stakeholder business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Gong, and sales enablement tools.
  • Analytical, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve and exceed ARR targets by closing new business across multiple products in your territory.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of 20–30 active deals at any time, closing 10–15 per month with rapid sales cycles.
  • Generate opportunities through outbound efforts, personal networks, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from discovery and solution alignment to negotiating pricing/terms and closing deals.
  • Deliver impactful SaaS solution selling through value-based techniques, targeting CFOs and finance leaders.
  • Partner with Solution Consultants to run compelling demos and ensure seamless client handoffs.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, partner & alliance, and professional services teams to generate leads and drive success.
  • Maintain rigorous sales hygiene in Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate forecasts and transparent pipeline management.
  • Provide customer insights back to product and leadership teams to shape future solutions.
  • Represent Zone & Co at client meetings and industry events.
