About The Position

We’re looking to hire an Account Executive to join our North American team. As an Account Executive you will be responsible for finding and closing new business deals across the United States and Canada. This will be done via your own efforts and supported by our Marketing and Partnerships teams. You'll work to uncover and define the best growth opportunities for GoCardless in North America, including new customers, new verticals and new sales strategies. You'll manage inbound leads as the first point of contact for many new and growing businesses interested in GoCardless, and run outbound campaigns to reach merchants who may not be familiar with GoCardless. GoCardless are still at early stages of our growth in the North American region. You will be joining a small, but growing team, giving you a huge opportunity to make a real impact.

Requirements

  • Proven full-cycle sales experience in Payments or B2B SaaS with a track record of achieving quota across a mix of deal types.
  • Ability to close high volume SMB deals as well as large complex enterprise opportunities.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • An ego-free, collaborative team player who will contribute positively to our close-knit team culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to test, execute and continuously iterate.

  • Experience working with some of our key verticals such as Finance, B2B SaaS and Membership Organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the full sales cycle to drive new revenue growth, from building pipeline and qualifying leads to closing strategic deals
  • Operating across the entire spectrum deal sizes and complexities, from high-volume SMB transactions to large, complex opportunities.
  • Testing, developing and iterating the GTM strategy to help build a predictable pipeline for future growth.
  • Selling the value of our global payment platform and developing opportunities with a partner-led approach.
  • Thriving as a key player in a small, close-knit, fully remote team that operates with high autonomy.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the business - including with Product, Operations and GTM teams
