As a member of the Sales Team, this role is responsible for leading strategic sales efforts to grow the Fragrance & Flavor business by identifying new markets and customer opportunities. The ideal candidate has a strong hunter mentality, fragrance and flavor industry expertise, and demonstrated success using a consultative sales approach. Requirements

  • Consultative sales experience is required
  • Experience hunting and prospecting for new business is required
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning skills are required
  • Ability to travel up to 60% is required (primarily domestic)
  • Retail experience with merchandising, channel strategy, promotions
  • College degree and 5+ years prior experience in Sales

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic efforts to grow and develop the Fragrance & Flavor area of the business
  • Maintain and organically grow existing business within current customer accounts
  • Establish the company as the preferred supplier across all segments
  • Maximize opportunities to increase market share with key accounts as well as new customers
  • Seek out, identify, and close new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop a go-to-market approach and sales tools
  • Develop commercial proposals for regional fragrance & flavor RFP’s
  • Support the execution of customer-specific requirements and initiatives
  • Provide customers with product concepts, submission documents, and presentations
  • Proactively manage the project pipeline and communicate progress updates
  • Optimize cross-functional execution and customer service
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internally across all levels
