About The Position

Account Executive Metro Market Media, a leader in local media and marketing solutions, is committed to helping our communities thrive. With a portfolio that includes The Times of Gainesville, Forsyth County News, Dawson County News, specialty publications, and the much-anticipated “Best of” awards and events, we also provide cutting-edge digital marketing services through Metro Market Media Agency. The Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships to drive revenue across Metro Market Media’s print and digital platforms. This position focuses on helping local businesses achieve their marketing goals through tailored advertising and media solutions. The Account Executive plays a key role in identifying opportunities, managing client accounts, and supporting the company’s mission to help our communities thrive.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, or B2B sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets preferred
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms including Google Ads, Analytics, and social media advertising
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM software preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current insurance coverage
  • Ability to work independently and travel throughout Northeast Georgia to meet with clients and attend events outside standard business hours

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across multiple media channels
  • Develop customized marketing campaigns using digital, print, mobile, and specialty publications
  • Present and communicate marketing solutions to decision-makers through in-person meetings, proposals, and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective advertising strategies and creative solutions
  • Manage and grow a diverse book of business, maintaining accurate records within the CRM system
  • Monitor campaign performance and ensure client satisfaction through ongoing communication and support
  • Attend community events, networking functions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and strengthen partnerships
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and account activity
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
