About The Position

Our Sales and Account Management Division is excited to welcome an Account Executive – Small Group to the team! This customer facing role represents BCBST, manages our customers, and collaborates with brokers. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of our entire suite of medical and ancillary portfolio products, including COBRA, HIPPA, and ACA. Hold a Tennessee Health and Life Insurance License. Oversee and manage all facets of insurance products and services for an assigned book of business with multiple clients ranging from 2-25 employees enrolled. Possess strong communication, client management, analytical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Embrace approved Enterprise-AI tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a Sales Executive or Account Executive. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment
  • 2 years - Customer experience in group service and/or account management required
  • Attention to detail, exceptional documentation abilities, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills
  • Maintains a working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ACA and other issues affecting enrolled groups.
  • Insurance License
  • Hold a Tennessee Health and Life Insurance License.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new business opportunities; building and managing long-term relationships with one or more existing/potential major clients within the assigned territory.
  • Analyzing business needs, loss experience and other factors with key customers to regularly adjust products, services and terms received and address customer needs.
  • Communicating effectively with and coordinating the efforts of key underwriting, administration, loss control and claims staff in support of one or more major clients.
  • Maintaining a database for a full range of company products, services, target markets and underwriting priorities; ensuring all related practices are consistent with organizational policies and processes.
