About The Position

This position manages a complex book of employee benefits business and acts as the primary service contact. The account executive offers a strategic and consultative approach to employee benefits account management.

Requirements

  • BA or BS
  • 3 years of job related experience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
  • MS Word - Basic Level
  • MS Excel - Intermediate Level
  • MS PowerPoint - Basic Level
  • Life, Accident and Health License required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a complex book of business with varying funding mechanisms, advanced contract features and structures, requiring experience and technical knowledge.
  • Primary contact between clients and carriers with goals of client retention and growth.
  • Regularly communicates with clients and carrier partners (at least quarterly).
  • Drives renewal process and can lead client meetings regarding renewals and utilization review.
  • Introduces new products and promotes them through regular visits and frequent communication with intermediaries.
  • Increases profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added value services wherever possible.
  • Ensures credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products and acts as technical expert.
  • Supports open enrollment process, including preparation, communications and scheduling (if applicable).
  • Maintains documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company procedures, including keeping agency management system updated in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
