About The Position

Qualitate is developing an AI-native primary intelligence platform for enterprises, investment firms, and asset managers. This platform automates the entire primary research workflow, from study design and expert recruitment to AI-moderated interviews and insight synthesis, significantly reducing research time. The company's AI Moderator conducts thousands of expert discussions monthly, capturing forward-looking purchasing plans, competitive displacement, and real-time ROI signals, which are then converted into quantified, time-series outputs tracking over 10,000 public and private companies, instantly queryable in natural language. Qualitate serves major enterprises, hedge funds, PE firms, credit investors, and venture capital firms. The company is rapidly expanding and seeks account executives to scale its Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. This role specifically involves owning the hedge fund vertical, selling AI-powered primary intelligence to fundamental equity, multi-strategy, and event-driven funds. It is a full-cycle closing position where the individual is responsible for pipeline generation, running demos, and closing deals. The ideal candidate can articulate product capabilities in terms of idea generation, conviction-building, and investment edge. Hedge fund clients utilize Qualitate for accelerated idea sourcing, large-scale channel checks, management team diligence, and building conviction through structured expert intelligence. Sales cycles are typically fast, buyers are analytically rigorous, and demonstrating concrete value is paramount. As a member of the founding GTM team, this role will be instrumental in shaping the hedge fund sales process, messaging, and competitive positioning.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years of quota-carrying closing experience selling software, data, or research products into hedge funds and similar public market investment firms.
  • Knowledge of the operational differences between a $500M single-PM fund and a $20B multi-strat platform.
  • A network of hedge fund professionals that can be activated immediately.
  • Ability to secure meetings with PMs, senior analysts, and directors of research without relying on inbound leads or SDR support.
  • Understanding of the fundamental research workflow, including how funds source ideas, build conviction through primary research, size positions, and manage risk.
  • Ability to articulate how Qualitate fits into the fundamental research process in terms that buyers value.
  • Experience selling to skeptical, analytically rigorous buyers.
  • Ability to earn credibility, demonstrate concrete value, and let the product speak for itself.
  • Comfort with fast sales cycles measured in weeks, with iterative, demo-driven selling motions.
  • Early-stage or high-growth experience where processes were non-existent and you were responsible for creating them.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience selling alternative data, expert network services, or research workflow tools to hedge funds.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape in expert networks, market research, and AI tooling for finance.
  • Experience being part of an early sales team where you helped build the Go-To-Market (GTM) function.
  • Prior experience as an equity research analyst, hedge fund analyst, or in investment banking before transitioning into sales.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into and close hedge funds across public market strategies, including fundamental L/S, multi-strat, event-driven, and activist.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first touch to signed contract.
  • Build pipeline through your own network, outbound prospecting, conference presence, modern AI tooling, and creative approaches.
  • Run demos tailored to how each fund actually does research, mapping the platform to specific workflows such as idea sourcing, channel checks, management team diligence, and sector deep-dives.
  • Navigate buying processes that range from a single PM decision to multi-stakeholder approvals involving directors of research, CIOs, compliance, and procurement.
  • Manage trials and proof-of-concepts through to conversion, driving adoption and purchasing in target accounts.
  • Feed product insights back to engineering, directly shaping product development.
  • Help build the sales playbook, shaping the hedge fund sales process, messaging, competitive positioning, and CRM standards from scratch.
