About The Position

Risk Cooperative, a division of Ensurise, is seeking a highly experienced, collaborative, and strategic Employee Benefits professional to serve in a senior client-facing role with leadership responsibilities. This position bridges day-to-day account management and operational execution with practice leadership, growth initiatives, and team collaboration. This is a working Account Executive role in which the individual manages a significant book of Employee Benefits business maintains direct ownership of and responsibility for servicing an assigned book of business, providing hands-on client management, strategic guidance, and execution of day-to-day service and renewal activities. This is a visible role externally and is ideal for a seasoned benefits professional looking to expand impact without full practice ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Employee Benefits insurance experience, including group medical.
  • Minimum 4+ years of client-facing account management experience; prior leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
  • Active Life & Health insurance license required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Employee Navigator, Applied EPIC or similar AMS, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain a designated book of Employee Benefits business with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Lead client service, renewal, and marketing processes for assigned accounts, including renewals and open enrollments.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for complex client issues, policy interpretation, escalations, and carrier negotiations.
  • Act as liaison between clients and carriers to resolve billing, service, and claims-related matters.
  • Analyze and recommend benefit plan designs aligned with client objectives and market conditions.
  • Ensure all client interactions, transactions, and documentation are accurately recorded in agency management systems.
  • Maintain high service standards and client satisfaction, meeting or exceeding retention goals.
  • Lead account rounding and cross-selling initiatives across Employee Benefits and other Risk Cooperative service lines.
  • Support new business development efforts through referrals, networking, and collaboration with producers and leadership.
  • Assist with proposal development and renewal marketing strategy in coordination with operations.
  • Contribute to practice strategy, service enhancements, and program development across group medical, ancillary, and specialty benefits.
  • Stay current on legislative, compliance, tax, and market trends impacting Employee Benefits and proactively advise clients and internal teams.
  • Support implementation of best practices, service standards, and process improvements within the EB practice.
  • Participate in internal meetings, training, and knowledge sharing across the firm.
  • Represent the firm professionally with clients, carriers, and partners.
