About The Position

Join Gallo Winery as an Account Executive - Customer Development and play a pivotal role in driving profitable share growth for our portfolio across assigned customer accounts. You will build and deepen relationships with buyers, category teams, distributor partners and cross ‑ functional stakeholders to create and execute strategic joint business plans that grow distribution, visibility and sales both in ‑ store and online. This role blends field engagement with data-driven insight—spending time on the market with wholesaler partners, analyzing sales and forecast data with Category Management, and presenting compelling business cases for new items and programs. You are a collaborative problem ‑ solver who inspires execution of chain priorities and distributor strategies, champions retailer advocacy, and embraces innovation to unlock e ‑ retail and omnichannel opportunities. You will lead initiatives across shelf, cold box, assortment and promotional execution, manage resources by customer tier, and forecast business results while ensuring compliance with all regulatory, quality and safety requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire.
  • This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving.
  • If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales or customer development experience to include a prior rotation as a Business Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 2; OR Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of external alcohol sales experience to include account management experience.
  • Gallo account management or project analyst experience.
