About The Position

The Director of Account Management, Financial Services High Growth, leads a team responsible for retaining and expanding AlphaSense across a large, fast growing portfolio of Financial Services customers. This role exists to scale the High Growth business with discipline. You are expected to bring clarity, structure, and accountability to how the team manages renewals, expansions, and forecasting across a high volume book of business. You will lead and develop a team of Account Managers while building the operating system that enables the segment to grow without adding unnecessary complexity. Success requires strong business judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a hands on leadership style grounded in data, coaching, and execution. This is a high impact role with meaningful ownership and direct influence on AlphaSense’s Financial Services growth trajectory.

Requirements

  • A hands on, metrics driven leader who has scaled Account Management teams in high growth SaaS environments and is comfortable being close to the work.
  • Proven operating under pressure, making decisions with incomplete information, and prioritizing relentlessly in dynamic environments.
  • Systems oriented and data driven, with a track record of improving forecast accuracy, renewal execution, and team accountability.
  • A strong people leader who balances empathy with high expectations and measures success by outcomes, not activity.
  • Comfortable engaging senior client stakeholders and leading complex commercial conversations with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
  • You have 10+ years of work experience in sales, account management, or client success with 3+ years of direct people management experience with SaaS products

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Account Managers to consistently deliver strong gross retention while expanding wallet share across a large, high volume Financial Services portfolio.
  • Raise the bar on commercial execution through hands-on coaching, deal inspection, renewal reviews, and ongoing feedback.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top performing talent capable of operating effectively in a fast paced, growth oriented SaaS environment.
  • Drive retention and expansion outcomes by identifying churn risks early, shaping account strategy with data, and prioritizing the right opportunities at the right time.
  • Establish discipline and accountability across forecasting, renewal execution, and pipeline visibility
  • Build and refine scalable account management motions that allow the business to grow without sacrificing quality, predictability, or customer experience.
  • Strengthen and enforce the partner model between Account Managers and Account Executives across renewals, expansions, and account planning.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex renewals, negotiations, and executive level client conversations.
  • Partner with Product, Customer Success, and internal stakeholders to remove friction and enable faster, more consistent execution.
