  • Relevant internships or campus experiences that demonstrate an interest in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience managing projects or deadlines through internships, part-time jobs, student organizations, or classwork.
  • Exposure to content creation such as drafting social posts, writing assignments, campus publications, or supporting creative projects.
  • Experience working in teams, whether through group projects, campus leadership roles, volunteer work, or athletic involvement.
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as social media platforms, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, or basic project management tools gained through coursework or internships.
  • Client service or customer-facing experience (internships, retail, hospitality, etc.) that demonstrates professionalism, responsiveness, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare or science communications through coursework, extracurriculars, or prior internship experience (a plus, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Create quality client-facing communications to provide updates on media opportunities, status reports, meeting notes, campaign summary reports and general account activity reports.
  • Work with internal service departments (e.g., media, digital, design), external vendors, news media, other agencies and account staff members to service the client.

  • Create and maintain media lists and facilitate routine media inquiries.
  • Support the team’s relationships with external audiences (media, third-party constituencies, etc.) to convey the client’s message.
  • Help secure media interviews and coverage and coordinate specific events and promotions for the client(s).
