Essential Functions Lead and actively participate in the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including inventory, COGS, and fixed assets Support costing functions, including: Rate updates Inventory valuation Variance analysis (labor, material, overhead) Partner with operations to understand production activity and identify cost drivers and cost-saving opportunities Perform inventory accounting and maintain controls, including coordination and support of physical inventory counts Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support corporate reporting requirements and provide requested documentation Assist with external audit and tax preparation requests Support credit review processes for new customers and verification of vendor documentation Participate in yearend financial review with corporate leadership Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls
