About The Position

SymphonyAI Media is the preeminent leader in Audit and Revenue Management Services for the Media industry; auditing billions of dollars each year in license fees, retransmission consent fees, subscriber fees, and royalty payments on behalf of major media companies in the Fortune 500 throughout the world. We are seeking a client-focused Account Analyst to join our Managed Services team in the Denver, CO office. This is a hybrid position, with three in-office days per week. The Account Analyst is a dynamic position combining solid analytical skills and keen ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs. Excellent problem-solving skill along with heightened aptitude for numbers and sharp listening skills are essential for success in this job. Successful Account Analysts has an understanding of all of the accounting processes associated with the distribution of programming content and a thorough knowledge of month-end reporting requirements. Additionally, the Account Analyst is responsible for maintaining successful communication with their clients.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in an external client-facing role, with a focus on relationship management and service delivery.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strong aptitude for financial analysis.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex contract terms to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to identify trends; apply findings to increase business intelligence.
  • Highly developed critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and practically when resolving issues.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate results of analysis to client business leaders.
  • Capacity to learn new processes and procedures in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage personal workload and changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable processing a plus.
  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) days per work week.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and cable operators on a daily basis.
  • Set up and maintenance of applicable data in the Subscriber Management System (SMS).
  • Daily cash reconciliation of payment receipts.
  • Review and analysis of cable operator remittances to identify and analyze rate and subscriber variances.
  • Process and normalize large datasets and identify modifications efficiently.
  • Prepare client month-end financial close reports (accruals, cash reconciliation, revenue adjustments, and ending aging).
  • Research, review and resolve outstanding aging items.
  • Conduct peer review and quality control.
  • Other tasks as needed.
