About The Position

Qualifications Knowledge: Advanced piano skills. Advanced music theory. Vocal techniques. Sight reading, conducting and coaching methods. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Skills and Abilities: Play the piano at the advanced level. Sight read complex musical scores. Accompany choirs, soloists and small ensembles. Accompany students in learning vocal music interpretations and technical aspects of music. Transpose and improvise; read chord symbols. Training and Experience: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by private of college-level training in piano and music theory and at least two years experience as an accompanist including experience in accompanying soloists and following a conductor.
