About The Position
Qualifications Knowledge: Advanced piano skills. Advanced music theory and composition. Vocal techniques. Sight reading, conducting and coaching methods. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. Skills and Abilities: Play the piano at the advanced level. Sight read complex musical scores. Accompany choirs, soloists and small ensembles. Assist students in learning vocal music interpretations and technical aspects of music. Training and Abilities: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by private or college-level training in piano, music theory and composition and at least one year experience as an accompanist.
