Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, the Accommodation Coordinator serves as the primary point of accountability for coordinating the University's implementation of the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA, as amended 2008) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Section 504), and is thus responsible for facilitating access to the academic programs, services, activities, and facilities of the institution for students with disabilities. The position supports students, families, faculty and staff in understanding rights and responsibilities under the ADA/Section 504. Additionally, this position determines and facilitates the implementation of reasonable accommodations and is responsible for the resolution of problems or conflicts related to accommodations and services.
