Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Read, write, and understand English
  • Have mechanical experience and/or aptitude
  • Work well with others
  • Willing to work any shift assigned (Four 10 Hour Shifts) Days of the week to be determined
  • Willing to work weekend shift when needed
  • High School Diploma, GED, or education equivalent required
  • Lift 75 lbs. from the floor to chest height with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for component maintenance and repair.
  • Perform component maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer maintenance manuals, SkyWest GMM, and established shop procedures in the interest of flight safety.
  • Responsible for becoming familiar with and understanding the GMM
  • Responsible for your assigned work area in the shop to ensure that it is kept clean and free of hazards
  • Keep tools and support equipment in a clean, safe and operational condition at all times
  • Required to wear eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while using tools or operating machinery
  • Available to work any shift and overtime if necessary
