About The Position

Serves as liaison between the school and district Academies of Nashville office in developing and sustaining academies, including the submission of budgets, purchase orders, and other requested information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State
  • Current teaching license from TDOE, valid TN Driver’s license
  • Required Equivalency

Responsibilities

  • Serves as contact for business, community and post-secondary engagement with academies.
  • Coordinates and implements advisory boards in accordance with the advisory board bylaws.
  • Promotes and supports the implementation and documentation of the National Standards of Practice (NSOP) for academy accreditation.
  • Collects, analyzes and communicates academy data, e.g. academy enrollment, experiential learning, industry certifications, academy related dual credit / dual enrollment, attendance, and graduation rate.
  • Supports the completion of action plans, calendars of events, and budgets for academies as established by academy teams.
  • Attends meetings to network, enhance partnerships and provide experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • In partnership with district and school leadership teams, implement the current Academies of Nashville strategic plan.
  • Coordinate with business partners and Pencil Foundation to maintain accurate community investment data for official business and community partner involvement.
  • Communicates academy information with district communications office and outside media.
  • Coordinates academy related experiential learning experiences, including, but not limited to, field trips, job shadows, student internships, teacher externships, and guest speakers.
  • Works with counselors, team leads, and school administration to coordinate recruitment and registration of students.
  • Collaborates with school administration and Advisory Board to review academy programs of study and recommend program modifications.
  • Facilitates the organization and implementation of academy open houses and school tours.
  • Serves as the point person for The Academies of Nashville ambassador programs (student and parent).
  • Promotes and participates in academy-related professional learning communities within the school.
