About The Position
College Tutors of Ann Arbor, Canton Northville is searching for organized, subject specific experts to work as dedicated part-time Academic Tutors for middle and high school students. Do you have the ability to engage and connect with students? Are you always being asked to help students with math, history or science projects? If it’s your name we’re calling, come join our team and apply today! As a College Tutor, your ability to engage with students will foster strong, honest connections with students and their parents. If you have achieved academic success and have the skills to help others achieve the same success, we have the tutoring job for you. The students you’ll work with vary from middle to high school students so extreme patience is key. You’ll gladly provide students with academic assistance. You’ll plan and prepare for each tutoring session using student and learning center resources. You’ll evaluate student progress toward goals and determine appropriate courses of action.
Requirements
- Involved, organized Student with Subject specific expertise
- College Test Prep applicants must have scored in the 90% or above on their college entrance exam(s)
- Ability to tutor one-one-one in-person, virtual and remote learning settings
- Travel may be required with reliable transportation to and from tutoring locations
- Ability to tutor in person at one of our office locations
Nice To Haves
- Previous tutor experience a plus
