Academic Support Staff
About The Position
Renaissance Academy is hiring tutors to support our 4th-8th-grade students in the areas of math, language arts, and civics education. Core responsibilities include assisting with classwork, preparing for exams, and research or projects. Key qualifications include strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with students and staff, and the desire to motivate students to achieve their educational goals. Available hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and scheduling is highly flexible. It is possible to gain additional hours as an after-school program assistant from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM
- Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count)
- if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress
- MUST have a Work-Study Award
- Background Check required
