About The Position

Partner with students to develop and strengthen study skills, time management strategies, and effective learning habits tailored to their academic needs. Motivate students to take ownership of their academic progress by fostering self-regulation, goal setting, and persistence throughout their collegiate career. Maintain a caseload of students-including first-time freshmen, transfer students, and students on academic probation-and track their progress through proactive outreach, check-ins, and scheduled meetings. Identify and address academic, social, and personal barriers impacting student success, providing coaching or referral to appropriate campus resources (e.g., tutoring, counseling, career services, disability services). Develop and facilitate workshops, presentations, and programming that promote retention and progression for students at every stage, from first-year seminars to graduation readiness. Support campus-wide initiatives such as New Student Orientation, Welcome Week, Rise Academy cohorts, Sophomore Academy, Transfer Pathways, and Open Houses. Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and staff to enhance communication, coordinate student support, and accelerate progress toward degree completion. Collect, analyze, and interpret student data to evaluate effectiveness of interventions and improve services. Participate in professional development, team meetings, and training sessions to remain current on best practices in student success coaching and higher education.
