The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Academic Gynecologic Pathologist. This position can be tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The division is subspecialized in surgical pathology, and candidates with fellowship training and/or expertise in Gynecologic Pathology are preferred. There is also an encouragement for applicants willing to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and/or Cytopathology. The role requires participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and effective communication with an active clinical care team that provides statewide integrated care. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, offering opportunities for collaboration with basic, translational, and clinical researchers. UNC hosts the NCI-funded SPORE in Endometrial Cancer and the Women’s Health Multidisciplinary Consortium (WHMC), fostering a community dedicated to women’s health research and care. Teaching responsibilities include clinical residents and fellows, with additional opportunities in the School of Medicine, Graduate School, and Undergraduate School.
