About The Position

Part-time (approx. 28 hours per week). The Bethlehem Campus Learning Center Academic Coaching program manager is instrumental in supporting student success by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where students are empowered to become independent learners through individualized academic support. Specific activities include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and mentoring academic coaches; utilizing tutor scheduling software (WC Online); contributing to center and program initiatives; and providing academic coaching to students at the Bethlehem Campus and online. Academic coaches assist students individually and in small groups with goal setting, time management, study strategies and academic skills (textbook reading, note-taking, exam preparation, etc.), organization, acclimation to college, and connecting students with other helpful resources. The Program Manager reports to the director of the Learning Center and collaborates with colleagues as a member of the Learning Center core team. Note: The anticipated start date for this position is May 2026.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • an enthusiastic commitment to lifelong learning and supporting the growth and success of all students and staff
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of tutoring and academic coaching pedagogy
  • experience in higher education or another academic environment
  • the ability to learn new technologies quickly

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree
  • previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • experience working in a college level tutoring program or another student success program
