The University Advisement Center in the Student Development Services Division at Brigham Young University provides specialized strengths-based life design support and exploratory academic and career advisement to all undergraduate students. Our Academic and Career Advisors accomplish the mission and vision of the university by meeting one-on-one and in small groups with students, implementing and managing special projects for the university, providing outreach to students campus-wide, documenting student stories and needs to inform university efforts to support students, participate in ongoing professional development to improve advising skills and impact, and making student referrals to student support resources across campus. Although we do not operate within an academic college, our Advisors provide support to Open Major students with course scheduling and academic standing needs.
