About The Position

Work with a dedicated and caring organization and start doing your life's best work. We are currently seeking AC Operators for VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Description of duties: Will operate a multi-zone air conditioning plant consisting of several centrifugal chillers with a capacity of approximately 3,000 tons and two reciprocating chillers with a capacity of 175 tons each, 4 computer room air conditioning units with a total capacity of 40 tons, and other air conditioning components such as condenser water systems, chilled water circulating systems and large air handling units that provide heating, ventilation, filtering, humidification and cooling to the entire medical center. Must be able to start, stop, and adjust all the air conditioning equipment needed to maintain required conditions of special areas such as clinical labs, research labs, bone marrow transplant unit, operating rooms, decentralized hospital computer equipment rooms, MRI, telephone and communication equipment, etc. Air Handler Units Cooling Towers. Chillers – Starting and stopping. Pumps. Motors. Exhaust Fans Refrigerators. Ice Machines. Walkin Coolers. Pneumatic Tube System. Basic plumbing. Basic electricity. Siemen Desigo Computer System – Building Automation System 1 year of experience utilizing system. REES System. Viewpoint. Notifier fire alarm System.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience in commercial HVAC or building systems operations
EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification
Experience with: Commercial chillers and cooling towers
Experience with: Air handling units and hydronic systems
Experience with: Siemens Desigo computer system
Experience with: Pneumatic tube systems

Responsibilities
