You’ll dig into land records—both online and in person—to research property ownership, easements, rightsâofâway, and encumbrances. Along the way, you’ll review deeds, plats, and legal descriptions, prepare title abstracts and easement summaries, and collaborate closely with surveyors, clients, government agencies, and occasionally property owners to ensure everything is accurate, clear, and wellâdocumented. You’ll also support the survey team by using CAD to prepare plats, drawings, and exhibits for a wide range of survey types, including ALTA/NSPS, boundary, rightâofâway, topographic, and FEMA Elevation Certifications. You’ll read and interpret plans, set up MISS Utility tickets, and keep files organized across multiple states. If you enjoy working with land records, maps, and technical details—and like balancing independent research with team collaboration—this role offers variety, responsibility, and room to mentor others as you grow.
