About The Position

Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance. Responsibilities: Support operational readiness by conducting maintenance, modification, and preventive service tasks on Abrams M1 series tanks (M1A1 SA, M1A2 SEP V2/V3) in a field and shop environment. Execute preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and install Modification Work Orders (MWOs) on Abrams tank variants (M1A1ED, M1A2 SEP V2 and V3). Read and interpret technical troubleshooting procedures, diagnostic flow diagrams, and system schematics for mechanical and electrical subsystems. Maintain accountability and inventory of special tools, test equipment, and assigned property. Perform assigned duties under direction of maintenance leadership, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. Work independently and collaboratively with government maintenance teams to ensure fleet operability.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NACI Clearance in order to access US military bases
  • Minimum 1 year of general mechanical maintenance experience; Abrams M1 tank experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with military vehicle tools, diagnostics, and test equipment.
  • Must be a U.S. person
  • Ability to work in team settings across field and depot-level environments.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, climb, and operate in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain an Army tank driver’s license.
  • Must meet Anthropometric Size Requirements (ASR) for safe entry into enclosed military vehicles.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to support GDLS fielding and retrofit activities (primarily state-side).
  • Must pass the Abrams Fleet Job Proficiency Certification.
  • Ability to work autonomously alongside U.S. government personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Abrams M1 tank experience preferred.
