About The Position

An Associate Brand Manager (ABM), Chocolate Packtypes Team is a marketing leader who is responsible for projects and activities that grow Hershey's portfolio of brands in the Chocolate business segment. An ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she/they play a leadership role throughout the company, coordinating with other functional areas to ensure necessary actions occur in alignment with project goals. This position plays a significant role in translating our company strategies to lead in the Chocolate segment into tangible product-based growth activities spanning multiple brands or relevant pack sizes. Additionally, this position requires strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate analysis of the business into recommended actions to better deliver for our Consumer, Shopper and Company. This role requires strong linkage with Brand Marketing and Demand Creation Strategy teams – delivering on packtype-related strategies and executions in the Chocolate segment. This role requires strong commercial knowledge of our brands, customers and products and an ability to link projects with key marketing strategies. This role is seen as a key lever for enabling our short and medium-term segment growth, profitability and share position.

Requirements

  • 3+ years or professional experience.
  • Previous project management experience with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is preferred.

  • Previous P&L exposure is a plus.
  • Experience with IRI/Circana is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of the business results or directing such analysis
  • Project leadership on priority projects that deliver on the growth objectives of the business segment
  • Strategic (3yr) and annual (12mo) planning of the PPA pipeline
  • Partnership with brand teams and demand creation team to support strategy development for product-related opportunities across Price-Pack Architecture (PPA)
  • Leadership of activities inside (and outside) the company that will result in successful implementation of PPA plans for the segment. This can include strategic briefing, guiding priority projects through the governance process, and building consensus on cost/benefit trade-offs for commercial alignment.
  • Maintaining a deep knowledge of the commercial, operational, and financial dimensions of the business
  • External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to the particular area of responsibility
