About The Position

The Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist provides Behavior Review, Comprehensive Behavioral Assessment and Individualized Behavior Plan for identified populations. The responsibilities include assessment, identification of target behaviors, hypothesis on function of target behaviors, data collection, creation of graphic display of data collection, narrative summarizing findings, design and oversight of implementation of behavior modification plan. The ABA Therapist: designs, coordinates and facilitates Behavioral-based assessment and intervention for identified populations with the specific goals to include reduce/eliminate the possibility of injuries to residents and staff; increases resident’s ability to self-manage by teaching and reinforcing their use of alternate, pro-social behavior; increases staff understanding of the function of the resident’s maladaptive behaviors; increases staff ability to prevent these behaviors and increase staff ability to teach and reinforce alternate, replacement behaviors; has oversight of implementation of behavior modification plan and development/implementation of unit-based level/point system.

Requirements

  • Master’s Level Degree required
  • Active Board Certified Behavioral Analyst certification
  • Two years experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, and their families, preferred
