Position Summary The Social Skills Group (SSG) Co-Facilitator supports Social Skills Group Facilitators in delivering consistent, evidence-based mental health and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided in clinic and telehealth settings and are guided by the Social Skills Group Facilitator and clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of autism intervention methodologies including ABA, ESDM, TEACCH, PECS, and PRT
  • Minimum six months of experience working with children with autism or related developmental disabilities in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license, insurance, and acceptable driving record
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability preferred
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with social skills curricula such as PEERS or Social Thinking preferred
  • Experience facilitating or supporting social skills groups preferred
  • Paraprofessional certification in good standing (RBT, BCAT, BTL1, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of community resources serving children and families
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic populations

Responsibilities

  • Support facilitators in implementing evidence-based social skills curricula tailored to participant goals, developmental level, and interests
  • Conduct scheduled sessions consistently, with approved time off or facilitator cancellations as exceptions
  • Provide substitute coverage for other Social Skills Groups within availability to maintain program productivity
  • Coordinate make-up sessions when groups are canceled
  • Participate in lesson planning, training, and regular meetings with facilitators
  • Implement individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Support Plans under clinical direction
  • Travel to clinic, home, and community settings as needed to deliver services
  • Complete daily session rendering and detailed session notes in accordance with company policy
  • Communicate scheduling updates and cancellations promptly to the clinical team
  • Maintain timely completion of required documentation, including: Daily treatment session notes Treatment target data Behavior data (as applicable) Monthly session plans
  • Support parent participation and provide tools to encourage skill generalization and behavior modification
  • Assist with curriculum adjustments and scheduling planning as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
