About The Position
Join our team as an ABA Counselor-Center#Based, where you#ll play a crucial role in providing direct instruction and intervention to young children with emotional, developmental, and/or behavioral needs. Under the supervision of a BCBA, you#ll implement teaching plans tailored to each child#s unique requirements, fostering their growth and development during this critical stage of life. This position is center and school based.
Requirements
- Bachelor#s Degree in Education, Human Service Field, or Psychology preferred, Associates in related field required
- Coursework in early childhood development or young children with special needs preferred
- Valid US driver#s license and minimum age of 21
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
- Experience or interest in Applied Behavior Analysis and special education
Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to assigned clients in their home and community environments
- Assist in implementing individualized teaching plans under BCBA supervision
- Ensure safety and adherence to health protocols during sessions
- Collect and analyze data for ongoing assessment and development of treatment plans
- Maintain effective communication with parents and multidisciplinary team members
- Create a fun and engaging environment to enhance client motivation and learning
